The Trust’s main thrust is to promote quality education, academic research and scholarly knowledge through the publication of high-standard educational and research journals, periodicals and other academic publications. It aims to provide a credible platform for researchers, academicians, teachers and students to disseminate original research, innovative ideas and scholarly contributions. The Trust provides a credible platform for researchers, scholars, educationists, students and practitioners to publish original research, innovative ideas, reviews, case studies and evidence-based studies relating to education and allied fields. It seeks to encourage academic excellence, research culture, intellectual development and wider dissemination of knowledge at local, national and international levels.
The Trust may undertake the publication, editing, printing, circulation and distribution of peer-reviewed and quality-oriented educational and research journals, and other academic materials. It may also organise seminars, conferences, workshops, training programmes and research activities to encourage scholarly exchange and professional development. In accordance with its Trust Deed, CASA also supports broader educational, social and charitable objectives, including skill development, vocational education, health awareness, cultural promotion, social welfare, environmental development and community empowerment. Thus, academic publishing, educational research and dissemination of quality knowledge constitute the core thrust area of CASA, with its other educational, cultural and charitable activities serving as complementary areas of social and community development.
CASA publishes Media Watch (ISSN: 0976-0911 (Print) and e-ISSN 2249-8818), a double-blind peer-reviewed tri-annual International journal on media and communication, published jointly by Centre for Academic Social Action (CASA) and SAGE India. The journal maintains high academic standards and provides an international platform for original research covering media, journalism, communication, democracy, culture, new media, advertising and public relations, media law and ethics, health and climate change, and related interdisciplinary fields. It is supported by an international editorial advisory board comprising leading academicians and is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).It has successfully completed 18 years of continuous publication, establishing itself as a credible platform for high-quality academic research in media and communication.
